Cat Eye

27. Valentines day Cat eye idea

So its near that time of year and I Love the different Valentines looks
that you see all over instagram and youtube and here of course.
This was a subtle but still dramatic smokey eye look with an extended winged
eyeliner all the way past the tear duct. creating a sexy cat eye.
I used the sleek au natural palette that I recently purchased and adore
which I will give a review for this VERY soon for everyone.
Its a brown/purple based shimmery eye using colours Conker, Bark and Taupe!
Conker is a beautiful deep brown and shimmery purple.

iIhave also added a picture at the bottom which is without the eyeliner as
I know the wing is dramatic and not everyone is a fan of bold eyeliner,
or if your just not very confident with using gel/liquid eyeliner you can still
get the effect of this look and a smokey eye.
so if you were just looking for a pretty and shimmery eye look the colours work beautiful for this too!

Kate Moss Rimmel Lipstick Review

26. Rimmel Lasting finish lipstick by Kate Moss

Quick Review of the Kate moss lipstick! two completely different shades.
a peachy, brown based nude in 26 and a  cool tone, plum red in 107.
(wish they had names not just numbers) bonus is they are very affordable.
they only cost around £5.49 each and are available in most drug stores.

first of all 107 - I love this lipstick. This appealed to me because of the matte formulae!
I have always been so sceptical when it comes to matte lipstick
I worry that they will be drying on the lips.
well this one, I couldn't of been more wrong.
although its matte, it feels so moisturising on the lips. not drying at all!!
I usually prefer a matte finish on a dark lip and this didn't disappoint. its cool
toned so even better as it makes them pearly whites look even brighter.
perfect for the winter months or an evening look any time of year.

Secondly Number 26 - I am a bit fan of nudes but I do have to admit
i usually go for pink base nudes as feel they compliment my skin better
the brown based nudes tend to wash me out a little bit.
the textue of this lipstick is extremely creamy and once again very moisturising.
its staying power doesnt compare to 107 but that is matte based so i guess
its not really fair to compare them. it does remain creamy which is probably why
it dissapears a bit quicker but it is a beautiful colour. it glides on easily and doesnt clump.

My Photography Love

25. Photographer

Random fact is I love photography, I just love it.
Its always been a huge passion, but one I never pursued properly.
Being behind a camera is empowering and to be able to show people
your vision and your ideas through art is amazing.
These are just a couple of shots from a photo-shoot way back but I love them
I love the fact its so simple but so strong as well.
if any of you have any work you want to express or show
im always keen and excited to see other peoples work!
i always do my models make-up, although clearly this wasn't exactly a hard job :)

MUA Undressed Look

24. Evening look with MUA undressed palette

As per my previous blog post, here is an evening look idea using
the undressed palette. I think with cheaper drug-store brands,
its always going to be a hit and miss, but you don't know until you try.
i was sceptical about this palette and brand at first with 12 eye-shadows
for only £4. but I honestly don't regret it.
this is a brown, blue and gold smokey eye, all using only colours from the palette.

MUA undressed Palette

23. Using MUA undressed palette

I wrote a review with some swatches of the MUA undressed palette the other day.
This palette was so affordable and cheap and I honestly use it
for many different looks. It is so versatile .
here is a subtle day time, or night time look using the palette.
a soft golden, bronze, smokey eye.
Browns are the perfect colour for blue eyes if you want to make them pop as
they are opposite on the colour wheel (if you already didnt know)
here just a quick idea of what you can do with the palette.

MUA Undress Palette Neutral

22. MUA undressed palette

I've had this palette for a while now. I've seen a few reviews on it
but a lot of people are comparing it to the urban decay naked palette.
I don't have the UD palette so I guess there's no way for me to do that.
BUT
I do have to say for the price you pay for this palette.
you can not go wrong no matter what the outcome as you are sure
to find a shade within this palette that you love
I paid £4 for this palette which has 12 colours.
the pigmentation is beautiful. you get 2 mattes and the rest shimmer.
there is only one colour that has a really poor pay off which is shade 3.
the rest are amazing for the price

the packaging is simple and easy to use if travelling and with the colours
included its so easy to do a day or night look.
they do last a long time, and I haven't experienced any creasing.
my favourite colours are the gold which is shade 6,
also the bronze which is shade 7
number 9 is a beautiful purple mauve shade.
and the mattes are great crease colours.

really you cant go wrong with this palette. I would definitely recommend!
you can purchase it here!

Coral Love

21. Better late than never

Little bit late on posting this one! Thought I already had, oops!
a simple look to achieve once you've perfected your eye-liner technique.
mine looks a little wobbly today but its wearable just about!
a little brown in the crease/socket to bring depth to the eyes
quick wing of eye-liner, whatever is easiest for you, I used ELF's liquid eye-liner
and a pop of colour, this is the Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Audacious!
wearable day and night. it helps brighten my cold winters day!

Red Lip Lust

20. red lip crush

Today's make-up look for dinner with the fiancé!

I finally bought my real techniques brushes after so many great reviews.
The main brush that I love is the buffing brush!
I used it with the stay matte foundation I showed previously and it love the finish.
it feels so much softer and smoother on my skin.
the application is so much nicer and uses little product but with an airbrush finish.
definitely my new favourite brush!
Red lip is Revlon Colour Burst in candy apple!
eye-shadows are from a Estee Lauder Palette in 01 Sand (old)

LOTD

19. Look of the day!

Just a quick look of the day. simple with a nude lip.
brown eye-shadows in the crease and socket.
such a simple look which works for day or night.
I love this nude lip from collection 2000- satins bow
its so creamy and moisturising. It doesn't dry your lips out ever!
the eye-shadow is a mega cheap palette from MUA!

I've just recently bought some new products from ELF
i'm excited for the HD setting eye powder
I've seen shaanxo use it. I will leave a review when it arrives!

Rimmel Colour Burst Matte Balm

18. New Products

Received my 15 colour concealer palette through the door today.
to be honest, i wasn't all that impressed, it does crease and it isn't exactly a full coverage
concealer but for 3.99 on Ebay, what more can I expect. I love the darker shades for
contouring though, which I tried out today. I would recommend this more for people just
starting out, to use for practising and getting to know how to use correctors.
you can purchase this here!

I finally bought one of the Revlon matte balms and i love it
the pictures make this look a little bit more red than orange (bad lighting)
but it is a bright vivid orange which will be great for summer or just for a pop of colour
the application is so smooth and creamy and not drying on the lips.
lasts forever. i love it. need to get the dark purple, I think its called shameless?! they are
a little bit pricey at £7.99 each but I think they are on offer on 3 for 2 right now.
I got mine from boots here!

I also purchased the Rimmel stay matte foundation after so many
great reviews all over YouTube and Blogs.
I bought this in shade 200 soft beige and the finish is beautiful
its lightweight and soft and leaves a matte finish without looking cakey or too full on.
it still leaves a dewy glow if you like that. it was so cheap and affordable.
I really like this foundation & it was only £4.49 on offer.
I got this also from boots here!

Basic & Simple

17. Keeping it simple

I love a basic eye and nude lip for work, especially when I don't have a lot of time!
This look is so simple, just focusing really on the socket/crease and outer V shape.
Nude lipstick is collection 2000 statins bow. One of my favourites!
A little bit of contorting to bring a bit of depth to my face using borjouis bronzed.
