LOTD - Dark Lips Topshop Depth ♡

 41. How to: Wearing Dark Lipstick

Im a massive fan of lipstick as many of us are. I think it completely changes any look you have on your face or your wearing. This is Depth by Topshop ( I will be putting a review on some Topshop stuff soon) It is a dark deep purple which is a very dramatic and daring colour. I know many people are not fans or the lipstick which is more on the bold side but if you are willing to give it a go, I suggest to go for it.

When wearing a bold lip, I usually like to keep everything else simple, otherwise it can sometimes look a bit over the top and overwhelming, which isn't usually the look were going for! Here is some of my step by step information on how to get the best results.
  • Always use a good lip scrub and keep those lips as soft as you can.
  • When using bright or bold lipsticks I like to nude out my lips with concealer or foundation as this helps the colour you've chosen to go on more pigmented and the colour will stay true.
  • Use a lip liner as close to the chosen colour if you have one, as this will act as base and keep the lipstick on for longer. Obviously this is a necessity if you don't have lip liners.
  • Then apply your chosen lipstick carefully, if you make any mistakes then that is where the next step comes in.
  • If your lipstick doesn't look crisp or we have any oopsys, then all you need is a concealer and a crisp flat brush to clean up the edges.
Then there you go, you have a nice bold lip to wear to any occasion. Just add a touch of confidence and a pout and your ready to go.

Lush - Popcorn Lip Scrub, Review & Photos ♡

40. Lush Lip Scrub

So I was given this lip scrub as a gift & i was so excited to try it. This stuff is one of those products that you see quite frequently on blogs and reviews and I haven't really seen someone who has severe dislike for it. Obviously there are different scents and flavours so you can really choose on which is suitable for you which is good. As it was a gift the one i got was popcorn, and boy does it smell just like it, BUT when you lick it off, as it suggests you can do and i had to try it, it tastes like salted caramel, which is interesting.

So yeah to start of which, you get it in a small glass jar pot, with 25g of product and after some research it is only £5.50. which if you ask me, isnt a lot considering the result after this stuff. As per the picture, it contains Coconut oil so this is where the softening comes in. Its so simple, all you do is pop it on your lips and scrub away. I was planning on leaving it a little bit longer before reviewing this product as it usually takes a couple of days to see difference, I got this product yesterday and saw results instantly. My lips felt so much smooth and my lipstick went on later like a dream, without any dry patches.

My thoughts on the product so far, and obviously if my view changes ill let you all know, is this is a simple and effect and lovely little product which can be used daily on those poor lips to revive them and make them soft. Love it or leave it, well... love it.

Before & After Make-Up with Photos ♡

39. OH MY WORD

ok, so when i first started blogging, I didnt think for a second that i would be uploading the without make-up photos. I mean jeeez. I have always been a very self concious person and I always feel much more confident when im wearing my make-up BUT we have to learn to love ourselfs, or just let ourselves be exposed and laughed sometimes.

This look was another look for a meal with the fiance. Nothing fancy, I just love eating out and going for meals. Not so much in love with the effect it has on the tightness on my clothes, but what the heck,

The thing I like about this look is that it reminds me of springs/summer with this amazing coral lip. Not long away now. I have been looking for a coral lip for a while and have tried a fair few (the pictures some reason dont show just how coral this is) but i found a new love in this one. which I have to say is my suprise product of February. Its the MUA Matte Lipstick in shade Peachy Keen. I will give a review on this soon but it is a new found love, and can not wait to wear this in summer!

LOTD - Quick & Easy Look ♡

38. Quick Post

Quick and simple look, as to be honest, we all have those cant be bothered days, yet we need to get ourselves out the door, for something you just cant be bothered to do. This was one of those days.

Simple and warm brown shadow in the crease, added a darker colour to the lid to add some depth. A quick flick of liner, as you can see, wasn't the best I have ever done but I just pretend no-one can see. Lips were feeling dry, which is something I hate about this weather, your lips suffer! Lip scrub to the rescue and then a lick of gloss to add some size to them. Hair whacked up in a bun and comfy clothes to the ready. added red blazer for a pop of colour to make it look like more of an effort has been put in and to bring the look together.

hopefully a better few looks to come up, but honestly, we cant always look 100%.

LOTD - Valentines Date ♡

37. Outfit & Look for Valentines

Usually when it comes to valentines, I think of sexy, Red lips, big hair. This year I wanted to go, girly and feminine with pinks and pastels. I also wanted to use my new Naked 3 Palette which i will review soon, yay! So here is what I came up with.

For some reason, I only just noticed, it looks like I'm wearing a skirt or something because of the dark behind, but im just wearing some black leggings, a pastel pink/lilac wrap top, which is a little low, but hey what the heck, it was valentines day. If your not allowed to go a little low on the cleavage on Valentines, when can you? Also the oversized blazer is pastel pink to keep with the theme and just a pair of Chelsea boots on the bottom.

My hair is just pulled back into a tight pony tail as i didn't give myself enough time to do something nice with it, so hey, just pull it back and hope for the best. I wanted my eye make-up to be the focal point so I used the Naked 3 palette and created a girly, but dramatic shimmery eye. with a darker outer corner and lighter towards the inner eye. With a winged eye-liner to add some emphasis and draw some attention. The rest of the fact was kept neutral and natural so nothing distracted away from the eyes. I contoured and highlight, used a light hand on blusher to give a natural blushed look and finished it off with Mac Myth lipstick, which i reviewed and confessed my love for previously.

I hope everyone had an amazing valentines day, however you spent the day. I'm not a massive fan of valentines day, you should'nt save one day to confess love, but hey, it gives me an excuse to get all dressed up!

MAC Myth Lipstick Review - Photos and Swatches ♡

36. MAC - Myth Review

I am in love with this colour. It is a very pigmented  pinky nude lip. Not for the faint hearted, as if you go to hard with a heavy hand, say goodbye to your lips, they will disappear into your face if you have a light skin tone. It is a satin finish, semi-matte with a light sheen, which I like as it keeps the texture soft and creamy. . I dont find it drying on my lips at all and find the lasting power very impressive, usually something that last long on the lips feels somewhat heavy and gives a weird texture by the end of the day but i havn't experienced this yet.

I am usually a sucker for a bold lip and only have a few nude lips, but after trying this one i think ive found one of my favourite nudes AND the smell of this is to die for. The only think i would say is at the moment I have been wearing fake tan, so Im not sure how well its going to work with my natural skin tone, but im hoping for the best. At the moment it really works with my (fake) skin tone, and I love it so much i would go through the stress of fake taning all over just to wear this.

Love it or leave it?
right now, I love it. You can wear it alone, with a gloss or even use it to help subtle down another colour you currently have. This is going to have to be in favs collection, but will hopefully be adding to my nude lip collection so who knows what might happen but for now, love!
